How to file complaints and our response process
Complaint Policy
Last modified July 28, 2026
This Complaint Policy describes how anyone (users, depicted persons, rightsholders, or third parties) can file a complaint with OCAI LTD ("HoneyPot," "we," "our," or "us") about content or conduct on honeypot.com, and how we respond.
1. Who Can File a Complaint
You don't have to be a registered user to file a complaint. Anyone can submit a complaint about:
- Content or conduct violating the Terms of Service
- Content prohibited by the Prohibited Content Policy
- A real person depicted on the Services without consent
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Privacy violations (e.g. doxxing)
- Harassment, threats, or hate speech
- Suspected child exploitation
- Suspected trafficking or coerced participation
- Fraud, money laundering, or financial abuse
- Any other concern about the Services
2. How to File
Send your complaint to support@honeypot.com with:
- Your contact information (email, and a phone number if you'd like a follow-up call). Anonymous complaints are accepted but limit our ability to follow up
- Identification of the content or account in question (URL, Honey name/ID, conversation context, screenshots)
- Your relationship to the complaint (the depicted person, a rightsholder, a witness, etc.)
- A description of the harm or violation
- Any supporting evidence
- Your preferred outcome (removal, account termination, law-enforcement referral, etc.)
For complaints involving a real person depicted without consent, please provide proof of identity sufficient to confirm you are the depicted person or authorized to act on their behalf.
For DMCA copyright complaints, follow the format described in the Terms of Service.
3. Acknowledgment and Triage
We acknowledge every complaint within 5 business days of receipt. Acknowledgment includes a case reference number you can use for follow-up.
Complaints are triaged into priority levels:
- P0 (Immediate harm): suspected CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats of imminent harm. Reviewed within 24 hours; preserved and reported to relevant authorities (NCMEC for U.S.-jurisdiction CSAM, applicable law enforcement for threats and trafficking) as required by mandatory-reporting laws
- P1 (Serious violations): harassment, hate speech, depictions of real people without consent, doxxing, copyright infringement with clear evidence. Reviewed within 5 business days
- P2 (Standard): other Terms or Prohibited Content Policy violations. Reviewed within 10 business days
- P3 (General feedback / non-violation concerns): reviewed within 30 days
4. Investigation
For each complaint we:
- Verify identity and standing where the complaint requires it (e.g. non-consensual likeness, copyright)
- Review the reported content against the applicable policy
- Gather additional context (Honey configuration, conversation history, moderation logs)
- Consult with internal legal / safety teams for ambiguous or high-stakes cases
- Decide on an action: no action, content removal, account warning, account suspension, account termination, law-enforcement referral
- Document the decision and the reasoning
5. Outcome
We notify the complainant of the outcome (where contact information was provided) within the target review window. For P0 cases involving mandatory reporting we may withhold details at law enforcement's request.
We also notify the user whose content was actioned, explaining the reason and the relevant policy section, except where notification would impede a law-enforcement investigation or risk the safety of a victim.
6. Appeals
A user whose content or account was actioned in response to a complaint may appeal by writing to support@honeypot.com within 14 days. See the appeals procedure in the Content Removal Policy.
Decisions on P0 complaints (CSAM, non-consensual imagery, credible threats) are final and not subject to appeal.
7. Retaliation
We don't tolerate retaliation against anyone who files a good-faith complaint. Any attempt by a user to retaliate against, harass, or threaten a complainant will itself be treated as a serious Terms violation.
8. Bad-Faith Complaints
We may treat repeated, frivolous, or knowingly false complaints as themselves a violation of our Terms of Service. Knowingly false DMCA notices may carry liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
9. External Escalation
If you're not satisfied with our resolution, you have additional options:
- For data-protection complaints, contact your local data-protection authority (e.g. an EEA / UK supervisory authority)
- For consumer-protection complaints, contact the consumer-protection regulator in your country
- For suspected child exploitation, contact NCMEC (U.S.) at report.cybertip.org, or the Internet Watch Foundation (UK) at iwf.org.uk
- For other legal disputes, the dispute-resolution procedure in our Terms of Service applies
