How and when content may be removed
Content Removal Policy
Last modified July 28, 2026
This Content Removal Policy explains how OCAI LTD ("HoneyPot," "we," "our," or "us") handles requests to remove content from honeypot.com, whether they come from users or third parties, as well as removals we make at our own discretion.
1. Content That May Be Removed
We may remove content at our discretion, including content that:
- Violates the Terms of Service or Prohibited Content Policy
- Infringes a copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
- Depicts a real, identifiable person without their consent
- Constitutes harassment, hate speech, or threats
- Exposes private personal information without consent (doxxing)
- Is reported to us by law enforcement, child-safety hotlines, or other authorities
- Violates applicable law in the user's jurisdiction or ours
We may also remove content for purely operational reasons (storage limits, account inactivity, system maintenance), though we'll try to give notice when feasible.
2. Who Can Request Removal
You can request removal of your own content by:
- Deleting individual Honeys, conversations, or gallery items from the Services
- Closing your account from Settings (most associated content is deleted within 30 days; see Privacy Policy for retention details)
Third parties can request removal of content involving them by writing to support@honeypot.com with:
- A clear identification of the content (URL, Honey ID, screenshot)
- Their legal basis for removal (copyright infringement, non-consensual depiction, defamation, etc.)
- Proof of identity sufficient to confirm they have standing to request removal (for non-consensual likeness requests, an ID match to the depicted person)
- A signed statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and they are authorized to act
Anyone can report content for removal under the Prohibited Content Policy; see the reporting section of that document.
3. Special Categories: Expedited Removal
The following categories are treated as highest priority and we aim to remove within 24 hours of confirmed report:
- Content depicting minors in any sexual or sexualized context (CSAM)
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (revenge porn, deepfakes of real people)
- Credible threats of imminent harm
- Content reported by law enforcement under a valid legal process
For these categories we also preserve the content and metadata for a period sufficient to support law-enforcement investigation, in compliance with applicable mandatory-reporting laws.
4. Copyright Removal (DMCA)
For copyright infringement notices, follow the DMCA procedure in our Terms of Service. Counter-notices follow the standard DMCA format.
We terminate the accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
5. How We Process Removal Requests
- We acknowledge receipt of removal requests within 5 business days
- We review the content against our policies and applicable law
- For straightforward violations we remove the content; for ambiguous cases we may request additional evidence or context
- We notify the requester of the outcome
- Where appropriate we notify the user whose content was removed and explain why; for legally reportable categories we may withhold notification at law enforcement's request
6. Appeals
A user whose content is removed may appeal by writing to support@honeypot.com within 14 days with:
- The content / Honey / conversation ID
- The reason you believe the removal was incorrect
- Any context or evidence supporting reinstatement
We review appeals within 10 business days. Decisions on appeals involving expedited-removal categories (CSAM, non-consensual imagery, threats) are final.
7. Limits on Removal
Some content can't be fully erased:
- Backups retained for disaster recovery may briefly contain removed content; we don't actively access backups to comply with removal requests but the content is overwritten on the standard rotation
- Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics may reference removed content in a non-identifying way
- Content already shared with law enforcement under a valid legal process is preserved as long as required by that process
